I found this spread out pattern calming to knit with. I have another ball in the series in shades of blue and I’ve just ordered three more in brighter shades.

Where on the ball of yarn did you start? Also did you match the second sock?
I always start at the centre of the ball – just as it is. By the time I finish the first sock I know how the pattern plays out. Occasionally I’m lucky and I finish the first sock at the end of a repeat. But usually, I’m in the midst of the pattern, so I pull out the yarn until I’m back at the start of the pattern on the first sock. Does that help?
